I submit to the fact that Orange County is a suburb of Los Angeles, and therefore it is unsurprising that there are so many Orange County locations featured in the archive.
For example, here is Indira Ghandi and J.Nehru hanging out in Anaheim in 1961and here is a vaguely racist brand stunt from a Valencia Orange Show in 1931.
Best of all is Richard Nixon with Nancy Reagan in Anaheim, California in 1970.
That is my personal favorite. I really do not know why.
I read all the TMZ.com coverage of Britney Spear's Century City meltdown.
I read LAist.com frequently but rarely have clicked on any of the entertainment related coverage until tonight. What caught my eye is that this all took place in Century City, which is not too far away from my Venice Blvd. flat.
Next thing I know I've wasted an hour of my life at TMZ reading about the most vaccous things I never knew I would find so interesting.
It drove me to begin Hannah Arendt's Crises of the Republic while I listen to old Ben Folds Five.
It will all even out.
